Working with Breanna was a literal and figurative walk in the (Ping Tom Memorial) park. We met up for an afternoon on the south bank of the Chicago River to capture some chic stills in the last days of summer, but it was really Breanna who brought the heat. She is a pro: from her effortlessly pretty posing to her soul searching smolder, I had so much to work with. We were also flush with scenic options, and had a great time putting together different angles as we followed the park’s pathways.
The park’s vibrant orange and red pavilion looked just as stunning in back and white.
We played with the shadows made by the sun through the willow trees, trying not to disturb the people picnicking nearby.
I brought a pair of my favorite sunglasses for her to work with, and I’m pretty sure they should be named after her now.
Not pictured: the trumpeter serenading us beneath the bridge while we shot against this mural. Beautiful blues, visually and musically.
